Looks like there are new, fresh threats. There are no sources to back this up, but then again, I don’t really keep my ears close to the ground on the movements of terrorists online. That being said, according to the Counterterrorism blog, a specialist “commando” unit of Afghans and Pakistanis have been despatched to take the Danish cartoonists out:
Hamid Mir, the editor in chief of the Pakistani daily Ausaf, who met Bin Laden a couple of times, reported that credible sources told him that a team of 9 Afghans and 3 Pakistanis were on their way to murder the Danish cartoonists.
I’ll have to admit, I imagined a group of dirty, bearded men in camo paint prowling through the streets of Jutland, hamming it up for the press and the deploring public. I quickly lost my sense of humour when I realized how this just perpetuate the chilling picture of an ideologically-motivated, trained and armed men lurking around every corner in Denmark. There was Salman Rushdie, and now there are the Danish cartoonists. I wonder if both have acknowledged their common kinship, and common curse.
That aside, I found the following quite strange:
Bin Laden had also severely critisized France for pts supposedly harsh treatments of Muslims, referring most probably to the anti-hijab law passed in 2004. Then the Islamist website Ansar Al Sunna published the exhaustive list of newspapers which published the cartoons and called for vengeance against them; adding that they deserve the same fate as Theo Van Gogh, who was savegely murdered by an Islamist in November 2004.
It looks like these terrorists have found sufficient reason to bomb the hell out of any country printing even a hint of the cartoons… I wonder what plans they have for Malaysia, since we’ve had our own share of controversy. I can’t help laughing, though!

Haven’t they finished yet? Oh, get a life!
These people are the biggest hypocrites of all; while they are strapping bombs to their bodies, their children at home are playing Legos and their wives are injecting Insulin from Novo-Nordisk.
Ask Salman Rushdie, man. He’s still on the run, from possible crazies who still think he should be taken down! It appears it will never, and as for relying on Danish products, you watch and see - soon they might start saying that the Danes actually are obliged to help them for their ‘various offences’.. sigh.
It’s the Muslim version of Munich.
Given the proliferation of bedroom Jihadi directors, it’s not beyond them to make a short film with digital cam.
It’ll be like that movie, 15 minutes (or was it ’seconds’?) where 2 serial killers go on a rampage and record everything - and become bigger than gods :p
That sounds so much like a FPS - First Person Slasher…
And on FPS, check out this post by mooiness on the short film Deviation.
That’s what we should do, ya know? Lock jihadists in a Counterstrike hell and let them keep blowing themselves up, all in the name of their god, and I betcha, after 30 runs or so, they’ll start to see the light.
