Dear Sir,
I read the reactions of some members of the Malaysian blogosphere with interest, and was surprised to find yourself banning - or thinking about banning - all Malaysian IPs from visiting your blog. You will realize, of course, that your blog is accessible via any anonymizer service, and some you no doubt do not know about. Therefore, if it is a prevention of access you desire, you have, I think, failed in this respect.
But I wonder at the reasons for your actions. I would think you’d flirt with controversy, and actively, since your short posts do nothing but that. And, I’m quite certain you could do with the traffic, if the strategic placements of your Google Adsense ads are anything to go by. I’m sure alienating yourself from your main audience does little to alleviate the sudden drop in hits you are probably experiencing.
Perhaps it is, as you say, to avoid controversy. I’d like to remind you, if you haven’t figured out already, that you’re being watched. I don’t mean this as a threat, sir. I’m merely reminding you that, in all probability, your brand of zealotry is currently being monitored by Iran’s version of the Great Satan, the United States of America.
But perhaps you shouldn’t be flattered about this; you provide, as they would’ve guessed, no useful information, and your brand of speech is well-known, and no doubt wearying to them. As it is to your audience. Perhaps that’s why they still come back, knowing they can, if they so wished, visit a Malaysian’s webspace to read bigoted comments about their religions.
The events of the past few days, no doubt sparked by an outraged post by minishorts, must have left you in an unenviable dilemma: should you persist in spouting infantile diatribe, or should you engage with concrete answers? Such dilemmas must appear devoid of any happy, satisfying outcome, because it appears you are married to persisting in the former, and are quite unable to engage in the latter.
I know this isn’t always true; I’m quite certain I have read some interesting arguments formulated and put forward in your blog. Therefore, this sudden retreat confuses me: it appears as if you are of the opinion that your own opinions and arguments cannot withstand rigorous scrutiny. I can only conclude, without further information, that your banning of Malaysian IP addresses only reflects your acceptance of the infamy, at the very least, of your point of view.
Unfortunately, like all good solipsists, you have barred yourself from ever being corrected for that same, infamous point of view.
In all of this, however, I can share some sympathy for your plight: witch-hunts are never pretty, and are usually never necessary. What they (the Malaysian blogosphere) are doing to you is no different from what they have done to xiaxue, i.e. not merely calling you out, but threatening action.
There are, I’m sure you’ll agree now, better ways to deal with your brand of spiel, and however much I despise your petty views, seeing ‘Christian Crusader Plots’ in everything, I must agree that the opprobrium that you face is… excessive. I say this out of self-interest, of course. If they can do it unto you, they can do it unto anybody they don’t like.
So here’s to your continued survival, if it is now possible, and more richly entertaining posts from you. I remain, as always,
Deadly sincere,
Xpyre

Which do you reckon he will be up to now: “Tossing and turning in the bed, heart palpitations and cold sweats” or ” Laughing every single second that he has created such controversy and his name appeared in almost every single pings in PPS (and maybe some international ones)?”
If what you’re saying is that he doesn’t need the extra publicity he’s getting, I think he deserves it. There’s quite a big difference between infamy and fame, and he’ll soon have no where to run with those comments of his. You do realize how he’s been having it quite easy, blaring about with insults and such? If Malaysians don’t have the balls or are too apathetic to answer, then let everyone else do it. I say more power to his hit counter and such. The thing is, MENJ won’t go away. You may or may not be surprised at how prevalent his kind of opinion is; I encounter it on a daily basis.
Even the virtual world is not in peace, innit? Sigh!
