all you need is love

I must be crazy: I’ve spent close to 4 hours trawling through YouTube’s collection of Beatles videos. Something about their songs stirs the back of my mind. It’s like I know I’ve heard those songs somewhere before. It’s like their songs reach back to some forgotten part of my formative years. It’s just strange, and such a thrill. I don’t know why.

The most awesome rendition of George Harrison’s “While my guitar gently weeps”…

They were gods, weren’t they? Gawd, the SOLO on this clip…!

And my favourite Beatles track… who could forget this?

Heh heh… karaoke favourite ;)

It’s not like I’ve heard everything they’ve ever done (I wanna watch the “Yellow Submarine”, people. Now that’s some psychedelic shit! Any ideas where I can get a copy legally?)

hey i’m a beatles’ fan!! i love all their songs. i remember when i was a kid, my fav was this one… all because i can shout at the end of ‘love’. “can’t buy me love….ohh…, can’t buy me looovvee… oh”. haha. and i also like “a hard day’s night”. then later on as i grew up, i began to like the more solemn ‘hey jude’ and ‘let it be’.

btw, in our church, we had adopt ‘let it be’ as one of our church hymns.

SInce you mentioned George who died a few years back, there is a touching tribute video for him in this youtube link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gSXWDVf69MM
Its just a cam on a screen literaly. I think you can find a better version on some p2p network(which i did). this video was recorded when he was posthomously inducted into the RnR Hall of Fame. If youre a big fan, and you really like george, it might leave a lump in your throat. And just catch a glimpse of his son Dhani who is an almost exact replica of him in the early 60’s. Prince gives an amazing solo on too.
go lucy in the sky with diamonds!
