It’s an old, hackneyed phrase: all’s fair in love and war. I think no one doubts what that means; winning is the only motive and the only necessary imperative, no matter the method. This of course only means that any talk about ideals and justice in war is just so much fluff without substance; but I should get off my soapbox now and stop pontificating.
I’ll leave the exposition to the photographs themselves. What photos do I mean? Well, photographs changed to tell a different story, of course. Reuters photographs, that is. Michelle Malkin and Allahpundit have the news here and here. The BBC editors have their own take on the issue, over at their blog.
This isn’t the only bit of news I’ve read. I’ve heard of people being paid to lie down amidst the rubble of a recently-blown building for picture-perfect ‘depictions’, even. But I wonder if any of this should be surprising anymore.

Shalom…You love Israeli so much huh?
From the S’pore branch too I guess.
God job.
No, no special love for Israel, actually. Just wary about biased reporting on both sides of the equation. As always, truth is a casualty of war.
